Daycare Program

The Daycare Program provides Daycares with the opportunity to explore the Village as is suitable for younger children. This program is a hybrid between our Interpretive and Self-Guided programs and will include costumed volunteers in our heritage buildings and Self-Guided pamphlets to guide you through various activities. This program is for students ages 5 and up. Students under the age of 5 will not have any programming suited to them..
Available: May to September
Ages: 5 and up.
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $8/student, 150 students maximum
Potential Experiences:
- Visit an underground sod house called a Semlin
- Walk through the Choritz Housebarn and learn why Mennonites built their houses attached to their barns
- Experience what a Private Mennonite school was like
- Visit the blacksmith shop
All stations are volunteer-run. Please note that no station is guaranteed until confirmed by MHV staff before your tour date.

- Wagon Rides ($2/student, $75 minimum)
- Souvenir Bags ($2/student)
- Livery Barn Restaurant lunch (cost varies, pre-order two weeks in advance)
